I’m aware of Pike County’s long and proud history. Still, serving as District Attorney feels like being on the precipice of a major enterprise. As you know, I grew up in Fayette at a time when it was no more populated than Pike is now. Sometimes it feels like, as Yogi Berra would say, it’s “deja vu all over again.”

We’ll grow. Our land values will rise. Commerce will come.

My role in all of this is to continue to support law enforcement so that people can live their lives free from interference from criminals.

We’ll continue “Guarding What’s Ours.” Guarding our children from predators. Guarding our homes from burglars. Guarding our friends and families from drug dealers.

It requires teamwork. Parents, let’s be partners. Teachers, we’re here to help.

Ask any law enforcement officer if we’re supportive. Ask court personnel if we’re skilled at what we do. If you find out that we’re not, please let me know.

As Pike County changes, one thing must remain the same. This must always be a place where good people can raise their families safely and peacefully. Nothing short of that is acceptable.
